After the hurricane

£95.00

A soft graphite pencil, dilute ink and coloured pencil and chalk sketch of a tractor caught by a falling tree during the October hurricane of 1987 in the UK. Drawn from my own photograph taken on the day after.  On A4 paper. The perspective together with the natural lines in the tree accentuate the enormous weight and stress involved in the scene as if the hurricane’s energy is still flowing from right to left through the picture.

All my work is for sale, I am 67 years old (as of May 2024) and have maybe fifteen years of productivity left if I'm lucky, but it's not up to me when my work stops. Although I have set prices on each piece, they are worth what someone is willing to pay, and when I'm gone, that might be a whole lot more. I am open to offers for any picture. If you really like something you see here, email me at articusdrawings@gmail.com and make an offer. You might be pleasantly surprised.
